Hi. I’m Josh.
I am dedicated to my role at Upleft, bringing a strong background of disciplined service and community commitment. Before joining Upleft in 2022, I served for five years as a police officer in a small city in Upstate New York.
“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
~ Desmond Tutu
This experience honed my problem-solving and community engagement skills, which I utilize every day. I also enjoy working with kids as an athletic coach and as a supervisor for after-school and summer camp programs. When I am not at work, I enjoy playing with my son, exercising, and traveling.
Throughout my life, helping others has been a consistent focus. I’ve volunteered at the local City Mission, serving meals to the community, and at a horse barn, teaching children with disabilities to care for and ride horses. These efforts are guided by the core values my family instilled in me. My mom taught my brother and me how to play volleyball as children. She used it as a way to teach us to be focused, driven, and competitive while also being patient, kind, and humble.
Here are a few more things that some people don’t know about me:
On my first trip to Port Angeles, I got engaged to my beautiful wife, Maddie, on a hike to Lake Angeles.
I'm strangely ambidextrous. I play all sports with my right hand or foot but I write and eat left-handed.
In my free time, I enjoy learning card tricks.
Now that you know about me, let’s talk about what we can do for you.
